Israel’s missile project is advancing: the Israeli Ministry of Defense announced a successful test of a rocket propulsion system today (Friday).
“This morning, Israel carried out a launch of a rocket propulsion system from the IDF Palmachim base. The launch was done in the framework of a test planned in advance by the defense establishment and conducted as planned.”
It would seem from the statement that the test that was carried out is not connected to the Arrow 3 missile defense system.
An initial test involving the launch of a three-stage missile from Palmachim was previously carried out in 2011, and a rocket propulsion system was launched in the framework of the initial test. The system consists of three varied operational stages. Foreign media officials claimed at the time that the test was part of the development of Israeli long-range missiles.
